Ya xp has a major problem alight, stupid users installing incompatible software. If you want to avoid problems install only digitally signed software, and avoid file sharing programs.
Try safe mode. If problem doesnt happen there use msconfig to narrow down the problem, then uninstall the 3rd party program causing the problem. Bonzai buddy, antivirus, firewalls, new.net, bearshare, webhancer, real download, iomega zip tools, are things that can cause this. I think you have a virus, or antivirus software is causing this. Scan for viruses. And if this was working recently, have you tried system restore? If not do it. Also use sigverif to find unsigned drivers. -gosh |
