I formatted my hard disk yesterday and forgot to back to a very important folder with very important files for our operation. How do I recover these files?

Check Download.com (part of CNET). There are several freeware and shareware utilities. Also, look at Data Rescue and Recover My Files.

hey buddy dnt panic i hav something for u.
Here are the steps that can help u to recover the data from formatted hard disk. You have to use some tool to recover the data.
1. Install a recovery tool on ur system
2. Select ur disk from the partition and scan with the recovery tool to recover the data.
If u wanna, I can suggest you 1 such tool that I am using " Advanced Disk Recovery" .For me it is the best recovery tool.Though in free version it recovers 5 files, if u r satisified den u can purchase it.so give it a try.
