I have a PC running Windows 7 Ultimate 64x. The PC has an Epson Stylus Photo R200 printer attached. I also have a laptop running XP SP3 which I have networked with the desktop PC and I want to share the printer across the network. So far, even though I've successfully connected the 2 PCs I can't get the laptop to access the printer because of driver problems. When I run the Add Printer wizard on the laptop it insists on trying to load drivers from the desktop. Naturally the drivers it finds are Win 7 drivers which it recognises and rejects. I've tried loading XP drivers onto the desktop but the installer recognises that it's a Win 7 machine and refuses. The Add Printer wizard then gives the option of loading drivers from another place, and here's the really odd bit. When I direct it to the CD with XP drivers on - and which I know works because under normal circumstances I've successfully loaded the drivers from that CD onto that laptop - it fails with the message "Windows cannot locate a suitable printer driver". You'd think it's be a simple thing to share a printer across 2 PCs but as usual Windows makes it difficult, or impossible. Does anyone have any ideas ? ---------------------------------------------- Vlodec
