ladies/gents, i have a network at home, my wireless router is situated in the house, wireless ok in the house, i use a computer in my garage, i cannot get a wireless signal in my garage, so i have run an ethernet cable from the router in the house to the garage. the computer in the garage works fine using the ethernet cable, ( i was surprised as the cable is about 120 meters long). i cannot get a wireless signal anywhere outside the house. its an old house with very thick walls, i have tried several "long range wireless routers" no signal outside the house. moving the router in the house is not an option. my question is, is there anyway i can connect a "wireless gizmo" to the computer in the garage to enable me to get a wireless signal in the garden, the garage has thin wooden walls. hope this makes sense best regards norman jones

Depending upon who manufacturers your wireless router, they may also manufacture a wireless access point or repeater. Check the website for your router manufacturer to see if they do. The best thing to do to avoid conflicts/problems is to get one from the same manufacturer as your router. I know Linksys makes both, and they tend to work well. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway 15.4" Laptop, Windows 7 Ultimate (including Virtual PC/XP Mode and three VM's of Server 2008), Photoshop CS4
