[b][/b]hello im not that good with computer so i dont know exaclly how to explain my problem. i have a windows XP and i used to have sound but my computer crashed from haivng the sims 2 downloaded. After it crashed my uncle had to erase everything on my computer and re dowload everyhting back onto it, so asically its like a brand new computer now. so wehn i got home i plugged in my speakers but they didnt work, i called him i brought i back over there he worked on it for ike 2 hours and than relized that , when he redid everyhting he forgot to putt he sound drive back in but he didnt have time to do it so i have to do it myself!!!!!! i dont know how to please will someone help me it doesnt have a sound card in it it was allready in the computer and he didn tknow that so he didnt put it back on please helop me ASAP!!!!!!!!!

If you can provide the make/model of your computer (i.e. Dell, Gateway, HP, etc.) that'd help. Beyond that, it's fairly easy to correct this. Go to Control Panel/Performance and Maintenance/System. Click on the Hardware tab, and then Device Manager. You'll probably see a yellow "!" under Sound, Video and Game Controllers. Right click on it and choose Update Driver and allow WinXP to access the internet to find the driver. Alternatively, when you right click on the above, choose remove and then reboot your computer.
