If you have a lot of knowledge of computers then im sure you can provide more info than just "protection error 15". Do you get this during setup, after setup? Do you get this on startup, or playing a game? How are you disabling file protection? Give us the full history of the pc.

Hmm, the full error is protection error 15, eh? I think you mean WINDOWS FILE protection error 15. THere's nothing on the above error you posted. Maybe you think im some kind of psychic and ill just see the resolution to your problem in my crystal ball. If you want a full response, i need a full error.

What it sounds like you need to do, is go to a runbox, and type these lines:

sfc /purgecache <enter>
sfc /scannow <enter>

Sometimes SFC will prompt you for 3rd party drivers when you remove a 3rd party program. The resolution is what i just put.

But again i need the full error. Post a screenshot of the error if you can.
