I seem to have a requirement that is regarded as completely unnatural by network designers. I can't believe I'm the first to have this requirement, so I hope a guru on this forum can point me in the right direction. I live in a shared house in which there are two separate Windows networks. However we are constrained to a single cable access (pay TV, internet and 3 phones). Is there a way of giving both networks access to the internet via the cable modem while preventing the networks from seeing each other? Peter

You could use a router (wired or wireless depending upon the need). In order to prevent each network from "seeing" each other, give each different names. i.e. since this is a peer to peer network, name one network something like Longhorns and the other Aggies (I'm in Texas) and run network setup on each computer to assign them to that network. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway 15.4" Laptop, Windows Vista Ultimate/Server 2008, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200
