Hello , this is my first time on the forum and I could use some knowlegable information . I'm thinking of building a new pc and the choices are staggering . I now am running a Pentium 4 3.2 GHZ. on a Asus P5AD2 Premium mother board with 3 GB. of PC2-4200 (240 pin) memory and a Antec 430 watt power unit . I will list below the components that I am thinking of getting (minus the listed power unit) , I'm sorry to say that I haven't kept up with the latest processor or memory technology , my question is will my 430 watt power unit be good enough for this new build and most of all are these components going to be a faster end result even though the quad four proc is rated at 2.4 GHZ. also on some web sites they say that the Q660 is a 4MB L2 cache others say it is 8 MB. is there a big advantage in one or the other ? Are these components a good choice ?Any other advise ? Thanks for any reply , thegovernor ASUS MAXIMUS FORMULA LGA 775 Intel X38 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail COOLMAX CUQ-1350B ATX 12V V2.2 / EPS 12V V2.91 1350W Power Supply - Retail Original price: $599.98 Discount: -$30.00 Combo Price: $569.98 Essentials EVGA 512-P3-N841-A3 GeForce 8800GTS (G92) 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail $349.99 Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz LGA 775 Quad-Core Processor Model BX80562Q6600 - Retail $254.99 CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX
