Here is my scenario...Small Lan with 5 computers. Ive recently taken over the network for a company but have a prob with connecting speed. All computers has 100Mbps nic's. On this network, all pc's are connected to a single hub St-Lab 10/100. I recently added a Modem/Router with 4 connection points ( lan ). I took one line from the hub ( 8 port ) and connected it to the Modem/Router...Thing is, now the computers only show 10Mbps instead of 100Mbps...If i connect the pc directly to the modem/router, it shows 100Mbps...Do you guys think it could be the Hub, or is this type of setup wrong??...tia
