Hello, people.
My problem is that my father won't let me use his Adsl modem so i borrowed a spare one from a friend who is on the same LAN network.
The problem is:
that the server has the MAC id and IP address of my father's modem and sometimes their is a problem recieving data when i use my(my friend's modem). I have figured out that the server had somehow blocked me.
I cannot use my father's IP as it creates a problem with my modem so i use a different one.
How can i use the other modem as the MAC id and the other is not the one alloted to me?
Can i change the MAC id and replace it with my father's MAC id so that i can use the same ip.
There is a software called MAC SPOOFER on http://www.soft-go.com/view/Mac-Spoofer_52.html. How good is it?
Thanx in advance
P.S:The networking and stuff was done by a local branch of Alcatel

dear jack,
i heard that if there are 2 cards using same IP / MAC either of them have problems connecting and there might be loss of data?
can you try out downloading a 10 MB file simultaneously from both computers ?
Please let me know, because i too want to do the same with my wimax broadband.
thanks and regards,
cingo
