I am working with an IBM NetVista w/XP pro, I have an annoying problem my speakers have an echo sound, I even replaced the speakers thinking this was the problem but it was not, what can I do to get the speakers to be normal, even the internal pc speaker has an echo, oh by the way, is there a simple way to shut off this internal speaker so that the external are the only ones working?!?!?! Thanks[emote|:'(]

Two things: 1. Do you have a mic hooked up? If so, this could cause an echo. 2. To shut off an internal speaker, there's probably a setting in the BIOS (usually pressing F1 or F2 at startup takes you into the BIOS). Check your hardware manual. 3. Third possibility is an incorrect or outdated soundcard driver. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, ATi Radeon 9550; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200
