Bashing microsoft because your having a problem isnt really nice.
Go into recovery console, and type diskpart (you can do this in windows xp too). What does it say? It should say the following: hard drive 1 free space hard drive 2 free space 7 MB reserved Why dont you format in recovery console? Just type the following: Format c: if you want fat32 on a drive bigger than 32 mb type this format /FS:fat32 c: Haveyou used any thing party disk management software like partition magic? DO you have a drive overlay? -gosh |
