Any help is greatly appreciated -
1. Dnloading ie 6 my system hung - MS instructions were not to reboot as it could damage computer 2. initiated an end task and the system shut down - go figure 3. from there it has been a nightmare 4. I have run set up - unisnstalled and reinstalled many programs and os 5. now at win 98 and can get the system to operate but whenever I start or restart and a driver information database is initiated the systems hangs (not responding) - the progress meter never shows any progress but I have found that if I am really patient the system will eventually start - this takes typically a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 70-90 minutes 6. Also have extremely long durations when reinstalling 98 or running setup - do not have long periods of inactivity when installing programs other than os. any ideas are greatly appreciated - Thanks in advance.
