| Two thoughts: 1. A sector, or several sectors of the HD are damaged and it's getting stuck at this point. 2. The CD itself may be damaged and causing the problem. Depending upon how old the computer is (i.e. if it's out of warrenty), I'd do the following: 1. Copy the install CD and try burning from the copy (I had to do that on one computer) 2. If that doesn't work, replace the HD ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, ATi Radeon 8500; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS2, Nikon D2Hs and D100 |
