Perhaps a little more info from you might help. When did this problem start? i.e. after installing a particular program or new piece of hardware? Something like this is usually the culprit. Also, a little more info about your computer hardware might help. Additionally, are there any utilities and such that are running in the background? ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, ATi Radeon 8500; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS2, Nikon D2Hs and D100

Couple of clarifications. 1. Is this an upgrade over NT4 or a complete reformat and installation? If it was an upgrade, then the problem may be some incompatible drivers and other software. You may be looking at a total reformat/installation. Upgrading from one OS to another is begging for problems. 2. From what I remember of Win2000, there was a reboot issue that was addressed in a service pack. Check MS's website for this. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, ATi Radeon 8500; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS2, Nikon D2Hs and D100
