windows update corp had dns issues over the past week, it was working last nite though. If you have any firewall/web enhancer/download manager/filtering software/etc you might want to disable it. Norton AV 2002 has known issues w/ downloading files in xp. Maybe try safe mode w/ networking (restart, press f8). Try another profile.
