| Just installed windows xp pro. Cant get passed login!! |

This winxp home or pro? If its home try safe mode, restart, press f8, chose safe mode. Logimn as administartor. If it lags press ctrl alt del twice, and try to login that way. Do you get any errors? Did you convert the drive to ntfs during the upgrade? If so go into recovery console - boot from xp cd, r for repair, and type, type c:\windows\setupact.log, look for the phrase random password, it's probably at the bottom. If your drive is fat32, boot from a win9x bootdisk, then type edit c:\windows\setupact.log, search for random password. Make sure the caps lock isnt on. If none of this works, but u can login as admin in safe mode, you can reset the pw. If you cant login as admin, you need to do a parallel install.
