setup does ask you for a pw. Is xp preinstalled by the manufactor? You might need to call them. Otherwise try pressing enter, for a blank password. If enter doesnt work, you need to try any pw's you commonly use. If that doesnt work and the drive is fat32, boot from a win9x bootdisk and edit whatever you need. If ntfs download the ntfsdos utility from sysinternals.com .
