Wow...just fixed a system with a similar problem. It was mostly attributed to spyware and a worm virus. By chance are you running WinXP Pro along with Message Queing installed? Unless you're running a server environment, you can uninstall Message Queing. Try that first, then run something like Spybot and MS's Antispywre to check for spyware ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, ATi Radeon 8500; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS, Nikon D2Hs and D100

MM - To check to see if Message Queing is installed, go to Add/Remove Programs and choose Windows Components. If the box is checked there, uncheck and uninstall. Next step - it sounds like something is really wrong. Suggest backing up everything and doing a clean install. Yeah, it's a pain in the neck, but you'll be a happy camper with a well oiled machine after it's done. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, ATi Radeon 8500; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS, Nikon D2Hs and D100
