XP includes built in CD Burner funcitonality. Why don't you try that first. Right click on a file and then click Send To your CD Drive.

I am having the same problem as well. I have a HP Cd-Writer + 8200 USB device. I als have NTI 2000 Pro which is XP ready. I cannot burn CD's even with XP's built in Burner or my Software either. I already pulled all my hair out so I guess I will poke my eyes out next!!!
Please someone help us!!!
