| Here's some basic troubleshooting steps to follow: 1. When did the problem start - i.e. after installing a new software program 2. If so, try uninstalling the software and see if the problem persists 3. If not, run a full virus scan, download and install BOTH Adaware and Spybot and run both. Then download/install RegClean (all available at download.com) 4. Reboot and see if the problem persists. If the problem persists, you really have two choices - leave everything as is and live with it, or do a clean install. w/o knowing all of the software that's installed on your system, it's kind of hard to trace the problem to a specifc item and solution. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, Nvidia GeForce 5200; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS, Nikon D2H and D100 |
