I'm not sure if this is the fix for you, but make sure that the CD burning capability under Windows Media Player 8 is turned off.
Under Tools, choose Options, then the Devices tab. Choose the Properties button for the CDRW drive. Choose the Recording tab and uncheck the box for Enable CD Recording. |
