probably sircam virus.

First rename c:\windows\regedit.exe to regedit.com

then run regedit.com, and look at this reg key:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command

At right hand side if it says c:\_recycled\sirc32.exe, you got da sircam virus. If any .exe is there, edit it to say this:

"%1" %* <-- note the space after the "

If it's sircam edit the regkey above, then remove it using norton or whatever

sircam will give errors such as cannot find file <application>, cannot find rundll32, <file> is not a valid win32 application, in control panel too.
