why dont you buzz off hotzippers, your like a bot that just advertises that stupid crack site...
winxp is just like win9x, as long as you have a previous microsoft windows cd, you can clean install. All you do is boot from the xp cd, when it says "setup did not detect a previous version of windows", put in your other microsoft cd, and itll let you continue. As far as the original problem, easy cd creator has fuct your system, im surprised it even boots. Uninstall or reinstall the software, then uninstall it again. You might have to follow http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q270/0/08.asp, so i would print it out and keep it handy. Did you know windows xp has built in cd burning, made by roxio?
