That's a known issue. Winxp has interesting behavior enumerating cdrom's. Sometimes your cdrom will go from drive d to drive m, for example, during setup, so of course winxp setup cannot find your cd.

Copy the <cdrom>\i386\ folder to c:\i386, and run winnt32.exe,

or type this:

start > run > type: <cdrom>\i386\winnt32 /makelocalcopy

This will make setup copy the files to the hard drive first, then setup will run from there. Once the pc reboots you can take out the cd, you won't need it.
