| Most OEM's ive seen are taking the position if your pc came preinstalled with win98, it's not a supported upgrade. Go to compaq.com and download all the updates that are listed, you probably need a bios update. And it would be nice if you posted the error youre getting, i mean if you had a problem with your car would you take it to the mechanic and say "my car makes noises"? Also search www.microsoft.com/hcl to see if it's compatible, i suspect it isn't. |
