XP has been out for only 2 weeks, it took win2k many months before drivers were out for most hardware, you should have expected this.

First, you should have downloaded the FREE upgrade advisor, that will tell you of any problems. This is the same utility that was in win2k.

Second, you should have checked the Hardware Compatibility List at www.microsoft.com/HCL to see what would be compatible.

Also, winxp is just like win2k which is just like winnt4, you cannot uninstall if you upgrade from an NT system. The win2k cd is bootable, you should be able to boot from the cd and format the drive and reinstall win2k.

Lastly, dont give up on winxp. It's very new and all its features arent in use yet. In the future, windows xp will have almost no driver problems because of dynamic update. It allows you to download the most critical updates to windows xp, so the setup will behave just like if the files were originally on the cd. This is an winxp only feature.
