Hi,
I need some help if anyone knows a way out of this.
I had my RTM version of XP Pro runing fine, until I tried the latest Nvidia driver, total mess, the system never went back to being stable. SO CD in hand I did a clean install, formatting hadr drive, etc. Before that, I moved my docs folder to my other hard drive, so i could then slowly cpy back my files, as the system was too unstable to run migration wizard or anyhting like that. Now, I cannot open the folder, it tells me I am not authorized, although I have now exactly the same username and password as before, and I have administrator privileges.
What to do, I thought Administrator meant that, absolute control over the computer...what can I do to be able to open that folderand get my documents.....
It is as if I lost them, yet they are there!!!!!

Thanks a million!!!!! saved my life. Taking ownership via safe boot worked the charm.
