| DirectX 8 (which comes with WinXP) is backward compatible with DX7 games. That being said, some older games will not run under WinXP. You might want to check the game mfg's web site for a patch/fix/workaround, or try using the compatability wizard. Also, let us know which game you're having trouble with. You might also go to NT Compatible (www.ntcompatible.com) and check there - they have an extensive list of games that will and won't work under WinXP (and possible fixes too). ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800; ATi Radeon 9500; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional |
