| Your assuming that the harddrive will then operate in single-drive or cable select mode, but this is not the case with many hard drives, they will just cease to function. You shouldn't have any problems with ANY o/s if the drive is set to master; problems if its set to slave I could see as many BIOS won't even recognize this configuration, but master no way. |
