I was wondering if anyone with the final code from MS could test something out. THere is a command line shutdown now . I was wondering if someone could test it out for me. To run it its shutdown -s . When I run it using RC2 it goes to a screen that says its now safe to shut down your computer. I want it to turn my computer all the way off. To run it go to the command line and type in shutdown -s . To see various options you can do with it type in shutdown /? .

Thanks,
RA

Thanks Jagged. That sucks that it doesn't turn off all the way. You are running the final code?

Sweet find! Thanks Zagreb.

I still wish the shutdown command had this feature in it. I don't like this way as much as shutting down the other way.

Thanks again.

Thats exactly what I did posterguy! I am glad I finally found out that you can do this. Although I will say again that the shutdown command should do this anyways. They should have an option in that to totally turn off the computer.
