Don't follow cas' advice, running a repair won't do anything but waste an hour.
Corrupt user profiles are caused by:
-bad registry settings
-hardware issue such as bad ram
What you need to do is delete the bad profiles (there data will be copied to your desktop), then make a new one. To do this follow http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q318011 , or you can use the file and setting transfer wizard.
If you continue to have corrupt profiles you might want to have the hardware checked.
